The production of nitrocellulose in Synthesia, a.s. is supported by a long tradition, in excess of 80 years. The establishment of the SBU Nitrocellulose in 2002 enabled us to focus on the relatively clearly defined and specified production segment of cellulose derivatives, solvents, inorganic acids and salts. The development programme has supported a large-scale investment and modernisation of technological equipment.
Thanks to the high quality of our products, reliability of our deliveries, professional approach and expertise of our employees, Synthesia, a.s. ranks among the most important world producers of nitrocellulose; on a European scale it ranks third. Our nitrocellulose is currently supplied globally, to more than 25 countries.
SBU Nitrocellulose has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 Certificate, approved by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance. It is also a long-standing member of the ENA Association (European Association of Nitrocellulose Manufacturers) and the WONIPA Association (Worldwide Nitrocellulose Producers’ Association).
