Throughout more than eighty years of its development, Synthesia, and its production premises, experienced a number of turning points and dramatic changes. However, the basis has remained - top products, close relation to the town Pardubice, and qualified experts.
- 1920 - The company history stars by the founding of “Czechoslovak public limited factory for explosive substances”. This is renamed to “Explosia” in 1934.
- 1928 – In Pardubice - Semtín, “Synthesia”, Explosia's sister company, was founded, its production being focused on inorganic products for further production of explosives.
- 1942 – “Explosia” and “Zbrojovka Brno” founded the plant named “UMA” for the production of plastic substances in Semtín.
- 1958 – Chemical production was integrated in the state company “VCHZ Synthesia”.
- 1994 – Transformation to the public limited company Synthesia has been performed.
- 1999 – Synthesia has been incorporated in the ALIACHEM grouping.
- 2001 – Majority owners of ALIACHEM became the companies Agrobohemie and Unipetrol.
- 2002 – The division Technoplast was dissolved and its activities transferred under the management of the plant divison company Fatra. The incinerating plant of “MCHZ” was sold and the following dissolution of this division was performed.
- 2003 – The sales business unit Explosia was detached as a subsidiary company.
- 2004 – Merger of production activities in Synthesia with the business and technical potentials of Ostacolor has been prepared.
