What is REACH?

The European REACH regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Autorization and Restriction of Chemicals came into force on June 1, 2007. The European Union engaged to ensure that chemicals are produced and used in ways that lead to the minimisation of signifi cant adverse effects on human health and the environment by 2018. This REACH regulations lays down specific duties and obligations on manufacturers, importers and downstream users of substances on their own, in preparations and in articles.

Synthesia, a.s. is a significant European manufacturer of qualified chemicals with a tradition since 1920. Our activities are concentrated in the production of pigments, dyes, cellulose derivatives, and advanced organic intermediates. The goal of the company Synthesia, a.s. is to deliver to its partners top-quality products with high value added in the form of specialised technical service and “tailor-made” customer solutions using its own development facilities.

  • Synthesia, a.s. has been approved by Lloyd‘s Register Quality Assurance - ISO 9001:2000.
  • Synthesia, a.s. is member of ETAD (Ecological and Toxicological Association of Dyes and organic pigments manufacturers).

We communicate to our customers

Synthesia, a.s. as a traditional producer of qualifi ed chemistry has many years of experience in the production, evaluation, testing and registration of organic substances. At this time, we have been getting ready for the pre-registration of all substances, which are subject to the REACH regulation, within November 30, 2008. We will inform you about the important steps in the course the registration of our products in time.

We can do it professionally

Synthesia is 100% owner of VUOS, a.s. – an accredited R & D institution. One department of VUOS, the Centre for Ecology, Toxicology and Analytics (CETA) is approved for ecological, toxicological and analytical testing of chemicals and other chemicals substances (pesticides, biocides, pharma etc.). This department performs practically all necessary experimental works and co-operates in other (expert, administrative etc.) works connected with the REACH regulation.
