Synthesia, a.s. is an inherent part of the city of Pardubice and its environs. We are an important economic subject, while we employ in Synthesia plants nearly 2,200 persons. A similar number of people is employed by companies conducting businesses in the zone of Synthesia, a.s. A significant part of our earnings are also allotted in fostering the development of our region.

The priority of the Synthesia, a.s. business activities is to attain total production safety, to apply maximum emphasis on environmental protection and to foster on a long-term basis positive public relations. Regarding the protection of nature, we strive to permanently reduce emissions and operate efficient effluent treatment. Thanks to this strategy, having been translated into massive relevant investments, we operate leading technology equipment, enabling us to comply with exacting ecological limits.

Our endeavour is to prevent all hazards linked with chemical production. At the beginning of 2006, Synthesia, a.s. established the Safety Council of Synthesia, comprising the mayors of the surrounding communities, representatives of the city of Pardubice, the Pardubice Region and the Rescue Fire Brigade. This Council jointly resolves potential risks and evaluates the procedures of Synthesia from the point of view of safety of all affected areas and the region as a whole.
